4 thoroughbred horses were conversing in their stable. 1 of them, a chestnut called "Sacrlet Ribbons", was boasting about his track record: 'I've won 5 of the 10 races I've run', he said, and with 5 different jockey's.
The 3 year old filly "Antagonistic" was not impressed, well!, I've only been entered in 8 races, she said, 'but I've won 6 of them - including the St Leger'.
Flicking his tail contemptuously, the grey, "Ornamental Arch" snorted: That's nothing, I've run 12 races and I've won 10, including the Derby and the 2000 Guineas!.
Not to be outdone, the oldest horse in the stable "Ruperts Marbles", said: 'wait till you reach my age, I've run in 28 races and I've won all but 5 of them.'
At this point, the horses noticed that a greyhound had been sitting there listening. 'Excuse me guy's, he said. ' My name is "Swindleton Downs", perhaps you've heard of me? I don't mean to boast, but I've been entered in 40 races, and I've won 36 of them!
The horses were dumbfounded. "Good Gracious"! said "Antagonistic" after a hushed silence, "That's Extraordinary"!
A Talking Dog!
