How did this event go? How many Walers did you end up getting? Are there any photos?

Anzac Day at the Collingwood Chiildren's Farm was a great success again this year. Four Walers did us proud as representatives of the breed, our resident Waler Mega, and Fisher, Mouse and Paper Doll. Fisher and Dolly were on their second visit to the Farm and Mouse her first. The three proud owners, Angela, Jill and Gill were the nervous ones on the day, would they load, would they remain calm when faced with hordes of kids and general noise, and would they get back on the floats for the homeward journey! All achieved with great aplomb and interest, they loved it. So many visitors and so much information exchanged, stimulating an interest in the Waler that will serve us all well in working to preserve their future. Perhaps 3,000 people or more, most of whom had little or no knowledge of the Waler and their part in our history, and many of whom are now going off to find out more. The horses really did us proud and obviously enjoyed the attention. Please join us next year at the Farm and show off your Waler!
Photo's shortly.
